ADIDAS NMD R1 with embossed 3stripes branding?

ADIDAS reviving the NMD R1?

We have been seeing some pictures floating around the internet showing 2 upcoming NMD R1s with an embossed 3 Stripes branding instead of the typical colored tapes. The last time I saw those was on the A Ma Maniere x Invincible NMD R1 which was released half a year ago.
While it definitely looks clean, is it a little too late for ADIDAS? The R2 and R1 SLT silhouettes were a complete failure, and they should have scrapped it the moment they realise that they were bricks. The continuous pushing of ugly R2 and SLT GR models probably made everyone fed-up with ADIDAS's lack of creativity and also their hunger for short-term profits.
The past 2-3 months have seen them releasing a few more R1 PK colorways, and in the near future, we might even see them push out more and more colorways to entice sneakerheads to return back to the 3STRIPES. A new NMD R1 with font branding, similar to the Offwhite style, is also rumored to be in the works.
