Will the NIKE Mariah Flyknit Racer save NIKE's year?

It is accurate to say that 2016 was ADIDAS's year for the taking. With popularity of the Ultra Boost and NMDs, their continual churning of colorways every single month allowed them to rake in record revenues for the year. 2017 is still anybody's year. While ADIDAS's Yeezy Boost BRED and Zebra grabbed the most headlines, NIKE's Jordan releases have also generated a crazy amount of hype online. But if things go on as it is, ADIDAS has a leg up over NIKEs.
An advantage ADIDAS has over NIKE is its popular Ultra Boost and NMD line up. These are performance shoes which are also great for casual wear. I would not classify Jordans as performance shoes (correct me if I am wrong). NIKE had the Flyknit Racer in the past but for some reason, it did not generate as much hype. In my opinion, it was a great pair of sneakers but NIKE just did not take advantage of it.
And now, here comes the upcoming NIKE Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer. On first look, it feels like the OG Flyknit Racer but you can see that NIKE has embraced the Sock look for this latest silhouette. The Racer is made with Flyknit material. This in my opinion, will definitely compete with Ultra Boost and NMDs on even ground. Considering that their Vapormax was a complete disaster, they definitely need the Mariah Flyknit Racer to work. I will definitely cop these when they are out.
