NIKE Adapt BB Sneaker malfunctions after a software update
After first releasing it during a showcase in January and subsequently releasing it just a few days back, the NIKE Adapt BB self-lacing sneaker is already experiencing software issues. The enhanced sneaker contains a computer that is powered by a corresponding mobile app but customers are complaining that the pairing technology is not working very well.
So far, it seems that only Android users have been experiencing these issues after a faulty software update, causing the disconnect and preventing the shoe from syncing with the app. This is causing a hindrance as this means that the shoe will not be able to auto-lace itself. Some even complained that the update prevented the motor from operating.
The Android version of the app has been reported to be lacking in many ways compared to the iOS app, as it does not have options for users to choose how tight they want the lacing to be.
Technology still has a long way to go before it can be integrated into our sneakers. I will definitely keep an eye :)
